stopmo P I C T U R E S
this stop-motion animation is taking on a life of it's own.. i should
have seen this coming.
the idea began with only two characters and a simple scene. now i'm up to 4
characters and several scenes, but at least there is a fluid beginning, middle and end. i have most
of the scenes visualized but am still struggling with how to recreate the ideas in my head to
something tangible.
the yellow head is one character. i threw out several sketches before deciding
on this head type.
the gray head is another main character. i have designed the heads so that
their eyeballs can "redirect" within the sockets - if i want him to look to the left, it is easily done.
their mouths pose a challenge, but i'll probably just do a removable bottom lip either
molded into the head or of a different color, pressed into place.
because i have not created this type of thing before, i strayed from "normal" designs
of the frame.
i wanted the head, feet and hands to be removable in the event something goes wrong or breaks.
the wire is superglued into the wooden block and there will be a long coat that the characters wear (that
will need to be sewn).
oh, does anybody know how to sew? ;)
