the great LEAP YEAR CHALLENGE
WEEK 4, i think
honestly, we're having so much fun, who can keep track of the time?
the film you are about to enjoy was created while i was a senior at california
state university, fullerton. it was shot on 16mm black and white film using some ancient camera that had
to be loaded, and unloaded, in complete darkness.
originally titled "turkey trot" (according to my notes and storyboard), i realized
soon thereafter the name was inappropriate. by the time i handed in the final product, it still had no
name other than the obvious "horse movie" and so the instructor, during the "2eme Festival
Internationale de Fullerton" instinctively labeled my film for me: "Les Chevaux et l'acteur atroce".
fine by me.
first viewing was 17 decembre, 1996.
i do have a fascination with horses and find them to be a curious vehicle to surround
a storyline; my current film in production also deals with the horse and since all great things seem to
come in groups of threes, my student film, now lovingly titled, "der Angriff auf von Burgess" is film one
in the "evil horse trilogy".
peace
(hang tough while i figure this video thingy out)
